Humanist Non Religious Blessing
The Marina at Puerto Calero boasts the classy “Amura Restaurant”, located on the edge of the marina overlooking the sleek yachts, it’s the perfect setting!
For the Beach lovers, we can highly recommend the Private Beach area at the “Secrets Hotel”. This 5* Hotel is set on the coast and has fabulous views across to the neighbouring island of Fuerteventura. Absolutely stunning. ADULTS ONLY.
Alternatively, the tranquil Piano Sun Terrace of the 4* “Costa Calero Hotel” in Puerto Calero surrounded by a water feature is a perfect location for a Stunning “al fresco” style Celebration, with a superb backdrop of glittering blue sea and natural mountains.
The “Princessa Yaiza Hotel”, a 5* luxury venue in Playa Blanca that has a unique Band-Stand style Gazebo which is perfect for Romantic couples. This looks amazing and very elegant with the linen covered chairs set around for your family and friends.

Our Humanist Ceremonies are by far the most popular and are ideal for those who have no religious affiliations. This Ceremony is taken by Sue Thain MBE, a highly respected and experienced Humanist Celebrant who has lived on the Island for over 30 years.
We personalise the wording of your Blessing Ceremony service with you according to your story. You may choose to write your own vows, or if you prefer we have a wide range of prewritten options to choose from. You may like to include the “Sand Ceremony “, “Hand fastening” or the “Rose Exchange ” which are meaningful and non religious exchange ceremonies. Please ask for details.
Humanist Blessings aim to draw positive moral values from life and are based on human experience, rather than God-given. Your vows are a public declaration of your commitment to each other and you may choose to add reference to your children or other family members and get them involved or taking part
All ceremonies include the signing of a register (non legally binding) and couples will receive a certificate stating the date and place of their celebration in Lanzarote.
The civil marriage would have to take place in your country of residence prior to the ceremony.
A Religious Wedding Blessing is a Ceremony performed by the local resident English speaking Chaplain. Lanzarote Weddings offer a variety of venues suitable for you and your family.

You may prefer to hold your Wedding in a Private Chapel or maybe opt for an outside Ceremony at one of our other approved venues.
All ceremonies include the signing of a register, (non legally binding), and couples will receive a Certificate stating the date and place of their celebration in Lanzarote.
You would be required to have the Civil Marriage registered in your country of residence beforehand. If in doubt please ask.
Norwegian Church Wedding
The Norwegian Wedding can take place in the Norwegian Church in Puerto Del Carmen or at any approved venue or hotel.
The Ceremony is legally binding and the liturgical ceremony and individual elements of it such as the music, readings and others must be confirmed accordingly with the Priest.
All the documentation required must be sent via your own priest to the representative in Lanzarote.
Couples who have been married civilly in the country of residence may apply for a blessing ceremony at the church.
Vow Renewal Ceremony
Lanzarote Weddings can recommend some fabulous locations for Renewal of Vow Ceremonies, be it on a sandy beach, sun terrace or an a boat!
Whether you have been married for 1 year or 25 years, you may choose to Renew your Vows as a reminder of your devoted love for one another.
Many couples may have had a very simple Wedding or Civil Wedding when they were married and have always dreamed of having a more Romantic Ceremony in a Picturesque setting.
Vow renewals are also popular with couples Celebrating Special Wedding Anniversaries, for example a Silver wedding, a Golden wedding or even Diamond Wedding.
